The city is underrated when it comes to food in North Texas, and believe it or not, there are over 700 restaurants in Plano, making it difficult to name the top 10 best. We've put together some of the best restaurants to show how great this little town really is.
This wood-fired Italian pizzeria has a rooftop terrace and is one of the best pizza bakers in Plano. This place has three floors where you can dine, including the rooftop terrace, where everything from chicken - fried steak to chicken and pork chops to pizza - is served.
Open from 11 am to 10 pm. M. weekdays and from 12 noon to 9 pm, and the place is also open for brunch, where breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as brunch and lunch are served. Brunch is served all the time, so check the website to make a reservation. Haywire will open this weekend with a weekend brunch starting at 10 a.m., but the location will remain open Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 11.45 a.m., according to the restaurant's website.
The Princi Italia location has opened its dining room for dinner service, and the Fireside Pies location will offer a $10 cake and salad to go. CRU Food & Wine Bar is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 12 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends, according to the restaurant's website. The restaurant has seating in the dining rooms with 25 seats and an outdoor terrace with up to 30 seats.
Try the Dynamite Roll for lobster, prawns and lobster sauce, which is more than just a bun. If you go super Tex - Mex, you can order a barbecue taco with brisket, but if you do, don't miss the Kor BQ fries, laden with fried eggs. The Planos site in El Fenix still follows an improved cleaning protocol, but is open for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jimmy John's 2560 in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn on the south side of Wind Haven Parkway opens its first store in Texas on Sunday, May 2.
